Historic Downtown Vacaville, it’s our Annual Rib & Chili Challenge. Last year we have added the category of Salsa! This is similar to Chili entries where contestants can serve up their winning Salsas! Contestants will begin preparing their special recipes early that morning and judging will take place throughout the afternoon. The entrants will be judged on their chili and salsa (all styles welcomed) and ribs (pork). There will be music throughout the day and tasting kits will be available to taste Salsas and Chili at $5 each. Only 250 tasting kits will be available. Each year, The Vacaville Rotary club assists more than 30 students who need financial assistance to continue their education beyond high school. This year, we awarded $38,000 in scholarships! Our fundraising efforts for next year’s scholarship program are under way. Our next major event is Rotary’s 2018 Golf Classic at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield.
